‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ Adds 4 New Scenes Tying to ‘Doomsday’: [SPOILER] Fights Doctor Doom, [SPOILER] Travels to the Past and the Multiverse Collapses

SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers for “Avengers: Endgame Encore,” now playing in theaters.

In the lead-up to “Avengers: Doomsday,” Marvel has re-released “Avengers: Endgame” in theaters with four brand new scenes that tie directly into the sprawling team-up film releasing on Dec. 18. Retitled “Avengers: Endgame Encore,” this slightly longer version of the 2019 blockbuster adds four minutes of new footage with characters like Robert Downey Jr.’s mega-villain Doctor Doom, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner to the already jam-packed movie.

Related Stories

Marvel started building the hype for “Doomsday” a year ahead of its release with four short teasers attached to last year’s “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” The first revealed that Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) have a son; the second focused on Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and his adopted daughter; the third showed Prof. Xavier (Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Ian McKellen) and Cyclops (James Marsden) from Fox’s “X-Men” universe crossing into the MCU; and the fourth brought together Black Panther (Letitia Wright) and the Wakandans with the Fantastic Four, who traveled from their universe.

Popular on Variety

These new “Endgame Encore” scenes were shot during “Doomsday” production and added to the re-release to bridge the two massive “Avengers” stories. The first scene takes place during Steve and Peggy’s dance in the closing of “Endgame.” As fans saw in the original movie, Steve has hung up his Captain America costume, passed the star-spangled shield down to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and finally settled down with his long-lost love Peggy after traveling back in time. But now, they get a surprising knock at their door from none other than the Norse trickster god, Loki. The last time we saw the reformed villain was in the finale of “Loki” Season 2, where he resigned himself to holding up the entire multiverse for the rest of time. But before that, it seems that Loki, in his Time Variance Authority uniform, pays Steve and Peggy a visit, perhaps to discuss how they’ve created an unstable branch in the multiverse with Steve’s time travel.

“Loki” gets another look with a fellow scene that takes place in the Time Variance Authority with Mobius (Owen Wilson), Casey (Eugene Cordero), Ouroboros (Ke Huy Quan) and Miss Minutes (Tara Strong). They notice that two Earths are about to collide in an incursion and begin firing on each other. More alternate worlds start colliding and terminating, and it’s revealed that the entire multiverse is collapsing. Could those two Earths be Fox’s “X-Men” universe and the mainline MCU world? We already know that Prof. Xavier, Magneto, Cyclops, Mystique (Rebecca Romijn), Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming) and Gambit (Channing Tatum) will cross into the MCU, so this may set up their clash with the Avengers that was teased in the “Doomsday” trailer.

Another new scene with Bruce Banner pops up during the credits and takes place after he’s apprehended in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” In this summer’s record-breaking blockbuster, Bruce loses control and is unable to stop from transforming into the Hulk when his mind is controlled by Jean Grey (Sadie Sink). Spider-Man (Tom Holland) beats the super-strong, green giant, and Bruce is taken to a secure medical facility. In the new “Endgame Encore” credits scene, Bruce is in an underground bunker tinkering on a serum to suppress his Hulking out. All of a sudden, Doctor Doom breaks into Bruce’s facility and Bruce turns into the roaring Hulk to face him, but we don’t see what happens next. Does this mean Bruce and/or Hulk will reappear in “Doomsday, and will he be under Doctor Doom’s control?

The final new scene appears at the very end of the credits, when the original “Endgame” had a mysterious, metal-clanging sound in the closing moments. When “Endgame” first released, diehard fans realized that the noise was from “Iron Man” when Downey Jr. was forging his powerful suit of armor. Now, we see a flashes of Doctor Doom making his metal mask with the same sound being played. It’s a dark twist and seems to hint that Doom and Iron Man, while both played by Downey Jr., may also have their origins mirrored.

“Avengers: Doomsday” hits theaters on Dec. 18 — the same day as “Dune: Part 3,” setting up a “Dunesday” showdown. With all of the new scenes, advance teasers and year-long countdown clock, Marvel and Disney are hoping “Doomsday” ends up being another smash hit in the wake of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s” record-setting run.

Letterboxd Suitors Include A24 and New York Times; Sale Could Value Social Movie Platform at $300 Million: Report

A bidding war may be in full flower for Letterboxd, the popular film-reviews and social service that has been fielding inbound acquisition offers for several months.

Indie studio A24 and the New York Times are the latest to express an interest in buying Letterboxd, according to a New York Times report citing anonymous sources. Any deal is “expected to value Letterboxd at more than $300 million,” per the report. That would be about 20 times its projected earnings in 2026 of roughly $15 million, according to the Times.

Related Stories

There’s been broad interest in Letterboxd: Those said to have explored a possible acquisition include Netflix, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Paramount Skydance, private-equity giant TPG and Reddit co-creator Alexis Ohanian.

Popular on Variety

Asked for comment, Katie Hill, the New York Times’ SVP, global head of communications and external affairs, said, “The company regularly reviews potential investments, and it’s our policy not to comment on speculation about potential acquisitions or divestitures.”

A24 declined to comment. Reps for Letterboxd did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

If a studio or streamer acquired Letterboxd, it would introduce at least the perception of a conflict of interest, as users might wonder if such an owner would favor its own titles on the service. Rotten Tomatoes was part of NBCUniversal for years, raising questions of its independence from the entertainment division. (Rotten Tomatoes is now part of Versant Media, which spun off from NBCU earlier this year.)

In a statement in July, a Letterboxd spokesperson said about reports of potential buyers: “As Letterboxd has grown, it’s natural there will be interest in what we do next. There’s nothing specific for us to share at this time. Any decision about Letterboxd’s future would involve the founders.”

Letterboxd, founded in 2011 and based in New Zealand, has been shopping itself to interested parties in recent months. It is majority-owned by Canadian holding company Tiny, which acquired a 60% stake in Letterboxd in 2023 at a valuation of $50 million-$60 million. Letterboxd co-founders Matthew Buchanan and Karl von Randow own the remaining 40% share.

Letterboxd has more than 30 million members globally and serves a passionate base of movie lovers. The company also has launched an online video-rental service stocked with indie films including previously unreleased titles.

Olivia Munn Says Her Mom Friends Were Right About Postpartum Hair

Olivia Munn Says Her Mom Friends Were Right About Postpartum Hair

Olivia Munn Says Her Mom Friends Were Right About Postpartum Hair

Instagram/@oliviamunn

Olivia Munn’s Instagram caption this week was exactly two sentences long: “Every mom friend told me that after pregnancy your hair will never be the same. They were right.” She added a resigned emoji at the end and left it there.

The post was brief, but it captured something a lot of mothers recognize immediately. Postpartum hair shedding is one of the most common surprises of new parenthood. It gets discussed in mom circles regularly, but it rarely shows up in celebrity conversations.

Here’s how it works. During pregnancy, elevated estrogen keeps more hair in an active growth phase. Hair can look noticeably fuller than usual. After delivery, estrogen drops back down. A significant portion of that retained hair exits the scalp all at once, typically starting around two to four months postpartum. It can be jarring. Preparation only goes so far.

The shedding resolves for most people within a year. The texture and wave pattern, though, can be a different story. Those sometimes shift in ways that stick around. That’s likely the “never be the same” part Munn was pointing to.

For a lot of new mothers, the postpartum period brings adjustments parenting guides don’t cover. The mom network exists largely to fill that gap. Real, specific information gets passed from one person to the next, usually before the moment arrives. Munn’s circle of moms gave her the hair warning. She’s now confirming it for the record.

Munn is no stranger to talking about physical change honestly. In 2023, she went public with a breast cancer diagnosis and then had a double mastectomy. She’s spoken openly about her recovery since then. That track record makes a two-line postpartum hair update feel completely in character for her.

She’s also a working actress with more than two decades of credits, including roles in “The Newsroom,” “X-Men: Apocalypse,” and “Magic Mike.” In recent years, alongside her film and TV work, she’s been more vocal about health and wellness.

What’s genuinely encouraging about this particular post is the mom-friend tribute at the center of it. Munn’s update is a hat tip to those women. They told her what to expect, and she’s confirming they were right.

That’s how this kind of knowledge travels. Postpartum hair changes don’t often make celebrity news, but they affect a huge number of people. Munn put a quiet, honest voice to something worth saying out loud.

Lil Yachty Takes the Director’s Chair on New Ice Spice Visual

Lil Yachty Takes the Director’s Chair on New Ice Spice Visual

Lil Yachty Takes the Director's Chair on New Ice Spice Visual

Instagram/@lilyachty

Lil Yachty announced his new collaboration with Ice Spice on Friday. Buried in the caption was one detail that changed the whole story: he co-directed the music video himself.

The track is called “out of my face.” Ice Spice holds down the lead. Yachty, credited under his alias CONCRETE BOY BOAT^, pulls up on the feature. He dropped the news on Instagram personally, writing: “out of my face by ice spice w/ me out now / directed by me & @amdvisuals.”

That second line is where the real story lives. Yachty didn’t just hop on a feature and bounce. He worked alongside @amdvisuals on the visual direction. That’s a different level of involvement. That’s an artist who wants his fingerprints on the whole thing, not just the audio.

This kind of move lands differently in hip-hop right now. Stepping behind the camera has always been a flex. But Yachty didn’t announce it with fanfare or a press package. He dropped the feature credit and the director credit in the same Instagram caption and kept it moving. That’s confidence.

Yachty’s been in a creatively restless space for a while now. His 2023 album “Let’s Start Here.” was a full genre pivot into psychedelic rock. It genuinely caught people off guard. He’s been leaning into artistic unpredictability ever since. Adding a directorial credit to the board fits that energy perfectly.

The CONCRETE BOY BOAT^ alias is doing real work here too. Yachty has used it consistently to carve out an identity beyond his mainstream rap catalog. Long-time fans know this alias doesn’t get pulled out for just anything. Filing both the feature and the director credit under that name says the whole thing was intentional.

Ice Spice, for her part, keeps running her own lane. She’s been selective with features going back to her breakout. “out of my face” fits that pattern. This wasn’t a throwaway session. A full video dropping on the same day as the audio says both artists were fully invested.

The release skipped the usual machine. No advance single, no press run. Yachty posted on Instagram Friday morning and the internet moved. The announcement crossed 254,000 likes with no prior hype behind it. For a drop that came out of nowhere, that number hits different.

That’s the bet more artists are making in 2026: trust the audience and skip the buildup. Yachty made that bet here and the early returns look good.

This release is worth watching closely. The music is still the foundation, but Yachty is stacking directorial credits now. Directors have long careers. Directors get into rooms rappers don’t. Right now it’s one video. But real pivots always start somewhere.

CONCRETE BOY BOAT^ gave Yachty room to be more than a rapper. This week, he stepped into that room.

“out of my face” is out now.

Kacey Musgraves Commits To Head-to-Toe Denim In A Bold Style Moment

Kacey Musgraves Commits To Head-to-Toe Denim In A Bold Style Moment

Kacey Musgraves Commits To Head-to-Toe Denim In A Bold Style Moment

Instagram/@spaceykacey

Kacey Musgraves posted a denim-on-denim outfit photo to her Instagram account @spaceykacey on Friday. The caption was written in decorative flowing script: “denim on denim,” with sparkle emojis on each side.

The choice put Musgraves at the center of one of fashion’s more stubborn revival stories. The head-to-toe denim look, often called the Canadian tuxedo, has been steadily regaining ground on runways and in street-style photography over the past few seasons. Designers including Saint Laurent and Versace have pushed denim-on-denim silhouettes in recent collections. Street photographers have been logging it everywhere from Paris to Copenhagen. The look has been showing up on red carpets too, and the question of how to make it feel current has become a genuine styling exercise. The aesthetic has genuinely come a long way.

Its road back has been slow. The cultural low point for denim-on-denim is pretty well agreed upon. Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake showed up to the American Music Awards in 2001 wearing coordinated all-denim outfits. The look spent the next decade being cited in “what not to wear” guides and used as shorthand for style disasters. Eventually the industry circled back. By the mid-2010s, denim pairing was reappearing without obvious irony. By the early 2020s, it was on runways. By 2026, it’s on Kacey Musgraves‘ Instagram.

Musgraves has always been worth paying attention to. She won four Grammy Awards in 2019. Album of the Year went to “Golden Hour.” That album blended country, synth-pop, and disco into something genuinely original. She walked into that Grammy night and the fashion press paid as much attention to her look as the music press did to the record. She has a way of making every move feel considered.

Her 2021 album “star-crossed” came out on Mercury Records under Universal Music Group. It carried the same emotional honesty as “Golden Hour” and kept her in the cultural conversation. Her visual choices drew as much attention as her music. She’s worked with major designers and been photographed for significant fashion publications. Musgraves is one of the few country-adjacent artists with that kind of fashion profile. Her style choices get covered in the same breath as her music. That kind of crossover presence is rarer than it looks.

None of that backstory is required to appreciate the Friday post. The photo works as a fashion moment on its own terms. Musgraves in head-to-toe denim with a sparkle-emoji caption is a clean, confident move. The look doesn’t overstay its welcome, and neither does the caption.

The image drew over 71,000 likes on Instagram. Comment data wasn’t available at press time.

No specific announcement accompanied the post. The Canadian tuxedo has found its moment again. Musgraves adding her name to it in late August is a solid cultural endorsement. The rehabilitation seems complete.

Noah Kahan Sells Out Wembley and Dublin With Waitlist Now Open

Noah Kahan Sells Out Wembley and Dublin With Waitlist Now Open

Noah Kahan Sells Out Wembley and Dublin With Waitlist Now Open

Instagram/@noahkahanmusic

Noah Kahan sold out both of his Wembley shows and his Dublin date. The Vermont singer-songwriter is now directing anyone without tickets to sign up for a waitlist on his official tour site.

Kahan broke the news on Instagram this week. He kept it short: “Oh my god both Wembley shows and the Dublin show sold out. If you didn’t get tickets, sign up for the waitlist on my tour site.” The post pulled close to 150,000 likes. For an indie folk artist, that kind of response hits different.

Three sellouts. Wembley twice, Dublin once. That’s a real milestone.

Kahan’s been one of folk-pop’s better stories for a few years now. He’s a Vermont guy through and through, and that comes through in his music. Cold winters, emotional honesty, and no production shine required. His album “Stick Season,” named after the bare-tree stretch of autumn Vermont is known for, was the record that changed things. It didn’t just grow his audience. It changed the kind of venues and crowds he could expect.

That record spread the way the best music does, through people telling other people. Streams climbed. Playlists picked it up. Songs like “Northern Attitude” and “Stick Season” became the kind of tracks people passed along with a personal note attached. The live shows kept pace. Small theaters became proper venues. Proper venues became sold-out arenas.

And now Wembley. Twice.

It’s worth noting how rare that kind of trajectory is for a folk act. Artists in this lane tend to have devoted but smaller audiences. Kahan has grown well past that ceiling without abandoning what made people pay attention in the first place.

“Dial Drunk,” his collaboration with Post Malone, showed Kahan could share space with a mainstream pop heavyweight without losing his own voice. The folk-pop core stayed intact. The audience got a lot wider.

He’s also built a real reputation as a live performer. Multiple sold-out U.S. tours preceded this European push. Reviews of his live shows have consistently noted his connection with the crowd. He connects with rooms full of people, and that shows. That kind of reputation travels.

Wembley has hosted some of the biggest acts in music history. Getting two nights there isn’t handed to anyone. For someone who built a following one honest song at a time, these sellouts carry real weight. Dublin adds to the story. The city has long been a warm market for folk and singer-songwriter acts. Kahan clearly connects there.

The waitlist is live on his official tour site. Returned tickets do tend to surface over time. It’s worth getting in the queue.

Watching Kahan reach this point is one of music’s better feel-good stories right now. No industry machine, no manufactured moment. A Vermont kid who wrote honest songs about home, and those songs traveled further than expected. Wembley is a big room. He’s earned it.

Leanne Morgan Season 2 Arrives on Netflix With Lainey Wilson as Guest Star

Leanne Morgan Season 2 Arrives on Netflix With Lainey Wilson as Guest Star

Instagram/@leannemorgancomedy

Leanne Morgan’s second season of LEANNE arrived on Netflix this week, and she brought country music star Lainey Wilson along as a guest.

Morgan shared the announcement on Instagram, letting followers know that Wilson appears in the new season. Her caption called Wilson “the one and only.” With the incredible stretch Wilson has had in country music lately, that description is hard to argue with. Morgan also confirmed that beloved recurring character crazy cousin Jesse is back for Season 2.

Jesse has been a fan favorite in Morgan’s comedy world from the start. That character carries a kind of warm, wonderfully chaotic family energy that fits right inside Morgan’s storytelling universe.

Morgan built her career on comedy rooted in Southern family life, marriage, and motherhood. She’s a natural storyteller with a real gift for finding the funny inside everyday life. Her stand-up work earned her a loyal following over many years on the road. Netflix then brought that work to a much broader audience. The response was strong enough to bring her back for another season, and Season 2 is evidence the relationship is working well for everyone.

Morgan has always had a warmth on stage that doesn’t feel performed. She talks about her family and her life in a way that feels genuine, like a friend sharing a story at the kitchen table. That quality is hard to teach, and it’s a big reason her Netflix debut landed so well with audiences who were discovering her for the first time.

Lainey Wilson is a fitting guest for this world. Wilson has had a standout run in country music. She’s earned Grammy wins and built a devoted following with her bold, retro-flavored sound and natural stage presence. She and Morgan share something genuine: they both seem completely at ease being exactly who they are on camera. That kind of ease tends to make for good television.

For fans who want to go behind the scenes, Morgan pointed Instagram followers toward the Leanne Morgan Comedy YouTube channel. A full Golf Gab episode is available there, offering a closer look at how Season 2 came together. It’s a nice addition for anyone who finishes the season and wants a little more.

Netflix has given Morgan’s comedy a platform that matches the scale of her talent. The streamer helped her reach audiences who might never have caught her on the touring circuit. Season 1 made a real impression. Season 2 is proof that what Morgan has built isn’t slowing down.

LEANNE Season 2 is on Netflix now. Lainey Wilson is along for the ride, crazy cousin Jesse is back, and Morgan is doing exactly what she does best.

Adam Scott Guest-Stars on Brittany Broski’s Series as The Whisper Man Hits Netflix

Adam Scott Guest-Stars on Brittany Broski's Series as The Whisper Man Hits Netflix

Instagram/@brittany

Adam Scott has been officially welcomed to “the royal court.”

Content creator Brittany Broski announced on Saturday that her Star Wars Super Fan #2 episode featuring Scott is now live on YouTube. The timing was no accident. The Whisper Man, Scott’s new Netflix thriller, starts streaming today.

Broski’s Instagram post made clear how much she enjoyed filming. “Without making this weird.. Lord Adam I have missed you ever since we filmed this,” she wrote. “Genuinely had the best time. You’re like a cousin to me.”

That’s not your typical celebrity collab post. Most of them read like PR copy. Broski’s sounds like a genuine message to a friend.

Part of the episode’s appeal is something making a comeback from the original series. The lightsaber segment from the first Star Wars Super Fan is back, and Scott got to be part of it this time. Broski pointed it out herself: “So glad we got to bring the lightsaber back out for Star Wars Super Fan #2.”

For anyone new to the format, Broski’s Star Wars Super Fan series puts celebrity guests through their paces as devoted Star Wars enthusiasts. The whole idea is to find out how deep the love for the franchise really goes. It’s a fun premise, and it sounds like Scott delivered.

Broski’s “like a cousin” comparison carries real weight. She’s not known for hollow praise, and the warmth in her post came through clearly.

The announcement hit 183,000 likes on Instagram. That’s a solid response for a YouTube episode promo, and it shows her audience was ready for this one.

The Whisper Man is a noticeably darker kind of role than what Scott is usually associated with. He built his name playing Ben Wyatt on Parks and Recreation, the long-running NBC comedy. He’s taken on darker material in recent years, and a Netflix thriller premiere is a significant platform for that.

Today is a nice double-feature for Scott. A new film drops on a major streaming platform, and a fun collab goes live on YouTube on the same afternoon. That’s a lot going on at once.

Broski has put in serious work building her YouTube channel into something people genuinely look forward to. She’s funny without overdoing it, and her enthusiasm for her guests feels real. The star treatment she gave Scott, complete with the “Lord Adam” title and royal court language, is very on-brand for her.

The full Star Wars Super Fan #2 episode with Adam Scott is on YouTube now. The Whisper Man is streaming on Netflix today.

Dua Lipa Calls ‘Martyr!’ Quite Unlike Anything She Has Ever Read

Dua Lipa Calls ‘Martyr!’ Quite Unlike Anything She Has Ever Read

Dua Lipa Calls 'Martyr!' Quite Unlike Anything She Has Ever Read

Instagram/@dualipa

Dua Lipa picked up a book, and it changed something in her.

The pop star and Service95 founder announced that Kaveh Akbar’s debut novel “Martyr!” is her September 2026 Service95 Book Club monthly read. This wasn’t a quick rec. Her announcement reads like someone passing along a book they haven’t quite finished processing yet.

“This novel is profound, sincere, regularly comedic and quite unlike anything I’ve ever read before,” Dua wrote on Instagram, signing off with a simple “Dua x.”

That’s a bold claim from someone who runs one of the more thoughtful celebrity book clubs around. Service95 launched in 2022 as Dua’s culture and lifestyle platform. The monthly reads have consistently leaned toward literature with real substance behind it. “Martyr!” fits that pattern. Then some.

The novel centers on Cyrus Shams, a young Iranian American described by Dua as “suicidally sad but desperate not to waste his suicide.” Heavy from page one. Cyrus is a recovering addict doing his best with sobriety. The ghost of his mother follows him everywhere. She died on Iran Air Flight 655, a civilian airliner shot down by the US Navy in 1988 during the Iran-Iraq War. Akbar doesn’t let that history fade quietly into the background. It’s the wound the whole novel lives inside.

Cyrus becomes consumed by the idea of martyrdom. He thinks about hunger strikers, about people who gave their lives for something larger than themselves. Then the novel throws him a curveball. He meets Orkideh, a terminally ill artist choosing to spend her final days on display inside the Brooklyn Museum. Living out a slow, public death in the name of art. The encounter reshapes everything Cyrus thought he understood about sacrifice.

“He begins to see the question of sacrifice through an entirely different lens,” Dua wrote.

For all its darkness, “Martyr!” isn’t a suffocating read. Dua was clear about that. Cyrus works as a medical actor, performing pain for money. Dua called it “good person drag.” Lisa Simpson shows up in his dream sequences. The book earns its absurdity.

“The book fizzes with chaotic energy and a thirst for life that is at odds with Cyrus’s obsession with death,” she wrote. “It’s also very funny.”

Kaveh Akbar is an Iranian American poet and novelist. “Martyr!” arrived in 2024 to wide critical praise. Dua’s endorsement puts it in front of a much larger audience. She wrote about it like it meant something personal. Service95 readers are in for something that sticks.

The full monthly read experience is available through the Service95 newsletter. A podcast discussion on “Martyr!” is also coming soon.

Megan Thee Stallion Proves Effortless Boat Glam Is the Summer Mood

Megan Thee Stallion Proves Effortless Boat Glam Is the Summer Mood

Megan Thee Stallion Proves Effortless Boat Glam Is the Summer Mood

Instagram/@theestallion

Megan Thee Stallion posted a boat-day photo on Instagram this Friday, captioning it “10 second glam on thee boat 🛥️” with no brand tags or product placements. She kept it entirely personal.

The Hot Girl Summer brand Megan has built is rooted in one core idea: confidence over effort. Ten seconds of glam before heading out on the water is that idea at its most literal. You don’t need a glam team or a two-hour routine to look great. The simplicity is kind of the whole message.

The post collected over 88,000 likes with no promotional campaign behind it. For a casual lifestyle photo unlinked to a music release or brand partnership, that’s a solid number. Beauty and lifestyle posts at this level often come with brand deals attached. This one didn’t.

She’s been one of hip-hop’s most talked-about names for years. “Hot Girl Summer” put her on the cultural map in 2019. The song featured Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. The concept, a summer attitude built on self-confidence and good energy, spread far beyond the track itself.

The Beyoncé-assisted “Savage” remix followed in 2020 and hit number one in the United States. “Body” came out later that same year and gave her another major hit. Through that stretch, she showed she could sustain momentum across multiple collaborators and styles.

Megan graduated from Texas Southern University in 2021 with a degree in health administration. She was at the peak of her chart run at the time. She’s spoken openly about completing her degree as a personal commitment and has credited her late mother, Holly Thomas, as a driving force. Holly Thomas was also a rapper and passed away in March 2019.

She’s also talked about Houston’s influence on her music and her attitude. Houston has produced some of hip-hop’s most distinctive voices, and Megan counts herself as part of that tradition.

Megan has used her platform to talk about women’s confidence and self-care. Mental health has been part of that conversation for years. She’s been consistent about framing her brand as something that goes beyond the songs.

That mix of drive and personal groundedness carries into moments like this one. A five-word caption on a boat photo with no brand tags and no campaign captures something genuine.

Hot Girl Summer has been part of pop culture since 2019, and Megan’s been its most consistent voice. A boat-day post heading into the last weekend of August is perfectly in character.
